Hi, I'm Heather. You and your relationships are worth fighting for.
Heather Hammock LMFT
If you're ready to rediscover yourself and rebuild your relationships, I'm here to help. Together we'll create a safe harbor for curiosity and healing. The past doesn't have to dictate your future.
You're sick and tired of complacency and feeling disconnected. You want to get over the hurts of the past and feel close to one another again. In my office we work to make things feel easier and more connected — in parenting, partnering, or co-parenting after a divorce.
Life events like chronic illness, a sexual abuse history, or depression shouldn't keep you from a life of love and belonging. If you don't recognize that your relationships are important enough to invest in, we won't be a good match. If you do, that curiosity-and-hope sweet spot is where I love to work.
The desire to become a therapist snuck up on me. An acquaintance called me in a moment of crisis and I noticed I felt honored and energized supporting her — and that those moments were the most life-giving ones in my life. I'm awed by people who have the courage to invest in vulnerability.

Who I help
Who Heather helps — and how.
Parents & families
Keeping a family happy and healthy isn't always easy. I help families navigate life transitions and learn to parent or co-parent with nurturing and less conflict.
Couples
You're tired of feeling alone inside and misunderstood. You want to let go of the past, but it hasn't been easy. It's possible to rekindle that spark and come together again.
Individuals
Depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma can change you. Shame and family-of-origin issues can be overcome. You deserve to feel whole and worthy.
How I work
Relationships don't have to be so hard.
As a family and couples therapist I'm trained in the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and TBRI, and I'm EMDR certified. I also draw on CBT, Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT for individual work. From a place of curiosity we build a strong foundation, develop a plan, build on what works, and get you feeling better sooner rather than later.
I help my clients to…
Build trust again
Feel excitement about your life and your loved ones
Shift negative patterns
Find peace and deeper connections
Set healthy boundaries and self-soothe
Feel more connected with your body and sexuality
