Our therapy rates

What it costs — and what happens when it doesn't feel right.

Every fee pays our clinicians fairly and keeps low-cost spots open for people who need them.
Licensed clinicians
$145 – $200 / hour
Four tiers by experience: Resident $145 · Advanced $160 · Senior $175 · Master $200. Couples sessions run $15 more per hour; 90-minute intakes are $200–$300.
Master's-level interns
$50 / session
Therapists-in-training with weekly individual and group supervision and ongoing training in complex trauma, PTSD, and dissociation. Sliding-scale options available; spots are limited.
EMDR intensives
$895 – $1,895 / half or full day
It starts with a 2-hour Pre-Intensive: an extended intake with treatment planning, billed at your therapist's hourly rate, that sets how long your intensive should be. Half day (3 face-to-face hours) $895–995 · Full day (6 hours) $1,795–1,895 · Retreat $1,795–1,895 per day plus per diem. Any follow-up session is billed at the hourly rate.

We're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit: donations and grants cover the gap between what you can pay and what your care costs. A short financial assessment sets your rate. No one pays more than they can afford.

Insurance

Out-of-network insurance and superbills.

We aren't contracted with any insurance company, so we're out-of-network providers. On request, we provide a monthly superbill — a statement for insurance reimbursement with everything your insurer needs to process an out-of-network claim — and we'll help you find out your benefits and understand the process. Staying out of network protects your privacy and keeps your treatment plan between you and your therapist.
Superbills on request, monthly
Credit/debit, HSA/FSA, and CareCredit accepted
Good Faith Estimate under the No Surprises Act

Questions worth asking your insurer
  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
  • What's my out-of-network deductible, and how much have I met?
  • What percentage is reimbursed after that?
  • Any session limits or pre-authorization?
Not sure how to ask? Nia can walk you through it — 512-400-4790.
Our nonprofit model

A nonprofit that charges fees?
Yep. Let us explain why…

Why a nonprofit charges for care

Why a nonprofit charges for care — Traci Pirri, LCSW-S · 1:44

“If you're a nonprofit, why am I paying at all?” Fair question. Good, quality mental health care costs...a lot. It's usually not one and done. Two offices, a team of highly qualified therapists, and the support they need to provide the level of care we expect...it costs a good penny.
There are no owners or shareholders. Every dollar beyond operating costs goes to subsidized sessions, sliding-scale spots, and training that raises the standard of trauma care across Central Texas. When you pay full fee for therapy here, you're helping make it possible to fund someone else's.
