Therapist jobs: join us in creating real change in Texas.

We don't accept that PTSD has to be a life sentence. We learn, lean in, and do better for our clients — all while having fun.
Who we are

Pushing the envelope for trauma treatment in Texas.

We believe the definition of “good trauma work” should constantly be evolving, and we dedicate ourselves to bringing improved services not just to the greater Austin area but throughout Texas. We hold weekly group supervision to hone our complex-trauma and dissociation skills, and every employee is offered free consultation toward EMDR certification.
Being a trauma therapist can be lonely and exhausting — especially alone. It also requires that you do your own work. That's why we believe the best way to grow is in community with other therapists. We're actively building an inclusive, dynamic team of helping professionals dedicated to ending the pain of trauma, particularly sexual trauma — working with kids, adults, and the loved ones of those impacted.
We're looking for clinicians who want more
More for their clients
More skills and creative ways to help
More support to make it all happen
Our current focus is a team with diversity and acceptance for all — all colors, shapes, sexual orientations, and genders.
What we offer

Let's cut to the chase — the money situation.

You may be able to earn more on your own — but maybe not. We're one of the highest-paying group practices around, and in exchange we handle the business, administrative, social, and marketing details that sink new private practices or lead to burnout.

$54–$100/hour

Depending on experience and qualifications — plus medical & dental benefits, PTO, and soon-to-be 401K eligibility for full-time clinicians (billing 20+ sessions/week).

Free EMDR certification consultation

Consultation toward EMDR certification is included, and weekly group supervision sharpens complex-trauma and dissociation skills.

A caseload of your ideal clients

We help you identify your ideal clients and fill your caseload with them. Our dedicated Care Coordinator schedules, brings in referrals, and builds team connection.

Structured onboarding

A training and onboarding process that sets you up for success in your first 90 days.

Control of your schedule

Almost 100% control over your schedule, with the ability to work both in-person and remote.

People who show up

We're there when you feel overwhelmed, need to staff a case, or just want a social break. We're committed to anti-racism and inclusion through training, consultation, and team-building.
Because we're self-pay, your rate lets you average a smaller caseload than at insurance-based practices to meet your income goals. If you're looking for a job where you can coast and do the bare minimum for top dollar, please don't apply — you'll be let down.
Business structure

A nonprofit that pays a living wage.

We're not your typical nonprofit where employees are overworked and underpaid. We're a nonprofit so we can provide a proper living wage for our clinicians. The majority of our clients are full-fee self-pay; fundraising and grants supplement clinician pay for sliding-scale clients.
It's a win-win: clients who are challenged financially pay what they can, and your rate isn't impacted because we supplement it from other sources. Happy clients with access to great care at affordable rates. Happy clinicians who take care of themselves and avoid burnout.
Uniquely us

Reasons you will — or won't — like it here.

We're a special group that won't be a good fit for everyone. That's fine with us. We want joining our team to feel like a “Hell yes — THIS is where I belong.”

Drama-free

We celebrate differences and approach situations from a grounded, intentional place.

Non-judgmental

We work with people from all walks of life. Hurt people don't always make good decisions or look “socially acceptable.” We want clinicians who look for the diamond in the rough.

Driven

We want you to want more from your career — that new workshop idea, growth in leadership. Tell us and we'll find a place for your dream to grow.

Team player

The work is heartfelt, important, and very often hard. We support each other and build each other up.
Growth mindset, values in mind. Some parts of the job you might not like: notes completed within 24 hours, and a personal reach-out to every new client before their first session. These extra steps take effort — and they show our clients we believe in them. Our #1 objective is to inspire hope; being part of Hope For The Journey means you understand the why.

We onboard new clinicians in March and October. Hiring starts about two months before each cohort — but we accept resumes any time.
