Online therapy in Texas that's convenient, private, and accessible.
Quality anxiety, PTSD, and depression treatment from the comfort of your own home — with a team that has done therapy online for years, not since 2020.
Maybe the drive is the thing standing between you and help.
Maybe you live in the boondocks and quality trauma treatment isn't nearby. Maybe your schedule can't take another weekly appointment with a commute. Maybe you need a trauma specialist and can't find one with availability.
We've provided therapy online for years — before the pandemic made everyone try it — so you get a well-qualified therapist who's also confident and calm on video. Research shows that when the therapist is confident in a modality, the client has a much better chance of healing.
Online therapy is a fit when
You're far from a trauma specialist — or from any specialist
Your calendar has no room for a commute
You open up more easily when you're not in the same room
Privacy at home is workable (we'll help you make it so)
You want the same EMDR, IFS, or Somatic Experiencing work — remotely
You'd like to try it before committing
Not sure? Meet your preferred therapist first in a short Meet & Greet — details on the Rates page.
Does it work?
Yes. And for some people, even better.
Research going back to a 2002 study in CyberPsychology and Behavior found video therapy as effective as in-person for most people — and better for some, especially those with panic or social anxiety, who did better in the comfort of home.
It feels different — in a good way
Many people find it easier to be honest when they aren't in the same room. Like a hard conversation in the car or on a walk, side by side. Your therapist still senses your feelings; you still feel connected.
It's 100% confidential
You get a link into a secure virtual waiting room, sign in, and your therapist begins. Vetted platforms, written privacy procedures, and coaching to make your space private.
EMDR works online
Absolutely — along with Somatic Experiencing and the rest of our tools. Your therapist guides tapping or uses a program that runs the eye movements.
Same price, same care
Our cost to bring you excellent care doesn't drop online, so rates are the same as in person. See the Rates page.
What determines success
Three things make therapy work — online or in person.
Our guarantee: your treatment plan won't be cookie-cutter. We look for what works for you and build from there.
01
Your therapist “gets you”
Fit is like dating — someone who gets your humor, makes you feel safe, speaks your language. True on video too.
02
Your therapist is skilled in what actually helps
Every quarter each therapist sets a clinical-skill goal, often tied to a specific client who isn't progressing. Skills tailor-made to our clients' needs.
03
You're open and ready
Everyone wants to feel better; not everyone is ready for the work. We help you figure that out and get past what's holding you back.
04
A back-up plan
Instructions up front for the best connection, help troubleshooting, and a plan for every session in case we get cut off.
05
Privacy, solved
No private room at home? We have tricks from years of clients — a car, a walk, headphones, timing.
06
A way to try first
A short Meet & Greet with your preferred therapist to check the fit and the format.

Online therapy FAQ
Questions about how it works.
Anything we haven't answered? Call 512-400-4790 — you'll talk to Nia, not a phone tree.
Yes and no. There's a difference — and many people find that difference is what they like most. It's a little easier to be honest and open when you aren't in the same room. Even so, it's amazing how much transfers through the screen: your therapist will still sense your feelings and you'll still feel connected.
The short answer is yes. Research has shown video therapy to be as effective as in-person for most types of therapy, including depression and anxiety treatment — and better for some, particularly people with panic or anxiety about being around others.
Before you start you'll get instructions for the best connection on your end. We help you problem-solve anything that comes up, and every session has a back-up plan in case we get cut off.
Your therapist can help you troubleshoot this too. We've used all sorts of approaches with other clients and feel confident we can find a way for you to have privacy one way or another.
Absolutely. EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and all our other tools for healing work online.
Most types of therapy work online. Since COVID-19 there are a lot of choices — what matters is a therapist who was already confident and experienced online, on a vetted confidential platform, with fast, proven techniques like EMDR and Trauma-Focused CBT.
The same as in person; our cost of excellent care doesn't drop on video. Rates by clinician, the Meet & Greet, and our sliding scale are on the Rates page.
That's exactly why we offer a short Meet & Greet with your preferred therapist — a chance to make sure the therapist AND the format feel right before you start.
Your first call is with a real person.
Nia will hear what's going on, answer your questions about video sessions, and match you with a therapist who's great online.
We're a nonprofit, so cost shouldn't be the reason you wait. Sliding-scale spots with licensed clinicians and supervised residents are part of how we work.
