Volunteer With Hope For The Journey

Give what you've got - time, skills, or a living room. You don't need a clinical background to make this work possible. Most of what keeps a nonprofit running has nothing to do with therapy.

Two Ways to Volunteer

Inside the practice, or out in your own circle. Some people help us inside the organization - at trainings, at conference tables, or with the admin and marketing work that otherwise eats our clinicians' time.
Others help by opening their own circle - hosting a Gathering For Good, a relaxed 90-minute evening where friends and family hear about the mission over a drink.
Both matter. Neither requires you to be a therapist.

Volunteer Opportunities

Where we need hands. Pick what sounds like you. If your skill isn't listed, tell us anyway, because we're rarely short of things to do.

Training & event support

Our trainings and workshops need hands. This is the most immediately useful thing most volunteers do.
  • Registration and check-in on training days
  • Room setup, materials, and AV
  • Supporting attendees through the day
  • Post-event follow-up

Conference tables & outreach

We table at conferences and community events. If you can talk to strangers warmly for a few hours, you're qualified.
  • Staffing a table at conferences
  • Talking about our mission with visitors
  • Collecting contacts and inquiries
  • Community fairs and health events

Admin & operations

Unglamorous, genuinely valuable. Every hour here is an hour our team spends on clients instead.
  • Data entry and database tidying
  • Mailing and packet preparation
  • Scheduling and calendar support
  • Research and list-building

Marketing & creative

If you have professional skills in these areas, you can do in an afternoon what would take us two weeks.
  • Social media content and scheduling
  • Graphic design and templates
  • Photography and video editing
  • Copywriting and newsletters

Professional skills

Pro bono expertise from your day job. Often the highest-leverage gift a person can make.
  • Accounting and bookkeeping
  • Legal and HR guidance
  • Web, IT, and systems support
  • Grant writing and fundraising strategy

Host a Gathering For Good

Ninety minutes, your living room, your people. The single best way to widen our circle.
  • Invite friends and family
  • We bring the story and the materials
  • No fundraising experience needed
  • Full support from our team

How to Become a Volunteer

1 · Tell us about you

Send a message with your skills, interests, and roughly how much time you have. There's no minimum.

2 · We'll have a chat

A short conversation to find where you'd actually enjoy helping, not just where we have a gap.

3 · Get started

Orientation, any training the role needs, and you're in. We'll never leave you guessing what to do.

A note on confidentiality

Some volunteer roles bring you near a clinical setting. Those roles carry a confidentiality agreement and a short orientation - the same standard we hold ourselves to. We'll explain exactly what applies before you commit to anything.

What Volunteers Get

Volunteering shouldn't be a one-way transaction. Here's our side of the deal.
  • Real involvement in the mission, not busywork in a corner
  • Invitations to our trainings and events
  • References and documented hours for students and career-changers
  • A team that says thank you and means it
  • Flexibility - tell us when your life changes and we'll adjust

Got a few hours and a useful skill?

Tell us what you're good at and how much time you have. We'll find somewhere it counts.
