Hi, I'm Maegan. You are not broken or damaged.

Maegan Woytek LPC
It's super important to me that you can just be you in therapy. My approach is about helping you see yourself the way I see you — brave, resilient, and extraordinary. Therapy doesn't have to be serious and dramatic to work.

About Maegan
I don't expect you to walk in, spill your guts, and complete a worksheet to fix all your problems. I take a laid-back, person-centered approach because you deserve to be treated like the strong, capable person you are.
It's hard to admit, but you know something is off. On the surface there doesn't seem to be a reason, and as hard as you work to hide it, you worry something is really wrong. My job is to help you see that you are so much more than your anxiety and what happened to you.
Most people worry that counseling means talking about what happened. Honestly, you probably will — but only on your terms. My job is to help you get to a place where you want to tell your story and it doesn't feel so overwhelming.

Who I help

Who Maegan helps — and how.

Tweens, teens & adults after sexual abuse

Has your 8-to-17-year-old just disclosed abuse? Or are you an adult finally naming what happened as a child? Let's make sure the cycle ends with you.

Teens going through a hard time

You shut down because adults don't get it. Your parents don't like how you cope. I care — and I'm here to really listen.

Helpers who need help

First responders, medical folks, therapists: you've put everyone else first for too long. Time to put your oxygen mask on first.

Anyone who'd rather do this from home

Online therapy is as effective as in person — no commute, no waiting room, pajamas and emotional-support animals welcome.
How I work

Nothing is wrong with you. It's what happened that was wrong.

I use proven techniques — EMDR (certified), Internal Family Systems, and Trauma-Focused CBT — while helping you feel comfy and relaxed. You might even have fun. After trauma work my clients tell me things like: 'I can't believe I was able to talk about it.' 'I went a whole day without thinking about it.' 'I feel like myself again.'
When trauma counseling works, you come away feeling:
Strong
Lovable
Able to do hard things
Confident
Able to protect yourself
Able to make good decisions
