Hi, I'm Traci.Everyone needs someone who believes in their ability to heal.

Traci W. Pirri LCSW-S
As head of the Hope For The Journey team I see a limited number of clients, mostly through EMDR intensives. I also provide EMDR consultation, lead trainings, and help nurture our mission: to empower ALL people to heal and thrive after trauma with counseling that works.

About Traci
I love to work with hard-working, high-passion people who feel like something is holding them back — maybe something from their past. I help you improve your relationships and your quality of life, and really embrace your life to the fullest.
I've spent most of my career honing skills for healing trauma, which can feel very different from traditional talk therapy. If you're looking for something a little more direct, a little more creative, and a little deeper, you've come to the right place.
Too many people think PTSD, anxiety, and depression are life-long sentences. I've seen first-hand how false that can be — clients moving from daily or even hourly panic attacks to finishing grad school, getting married, and enjoying a family. You deserve to not just heal, but thrive.

Who I help

Who Traci helps — and how.

Recovering perfectionists

Everything is starting to become too much. The more stress you feel, the more perfect everything has to be. You can have a life that feels alive — sometimes it just means clearing out the junk that's in the way first.

Failed relationship patterns

Your peers are getting married and having kids, and you feel stuck. Once you understand the reasons for your attachment style, you can unhook those experiences from today and be more fully, authentically you.

Exhausted helpers

You put everyone first and the spark that used to drive you is gone. Helpers — by profession or by nature — burn out at higher rates. We dig deep to root out what's holding you back and bring you back to yourself.

Creative types

If you've always been a little quirky or had trouble fitting in, you've found your place. I love helping people explore themselves and grow to like the person they see in the mirror.
How I work

There is always hope — especially when you're tenacious and armed with techniques that work.

As a certified EMDR provider, EMDR consultant, and supervisor for provisionally licensed clinicians, I've been humbled by how effective good trauma treatment is. My career has led me to keep seeking better options for healing trauma, calming anxiety, and releasing depression — Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, and more. I have a special passion for dissociative disorders and complex trauma.
I help my clients to…
Understand yourself
Embrace your own uniqueness
Build relationships that matter
Quiet your critical voice
Learn to play and enjoy life

Traci has been a true gem as a consultant! I enjoyed her focus and support with checking the fidelity of EMDR. She's helped with increasing my knowledge, comfort level and confidence in using EMDR consistently. My experience with her was definitely worth the investment!

“
Traci has helped me take my EMDR skills and confidence to a whole other level! Since starting consultations with Traci, I'm no longer hit with a sense of panic in sessions from not knowing what to do when a client gets stuck, starts looping, dissociates, or has an abreaction. I wish I had started this process years ago.
Maegan Woytek, LPC · Consultee

Consultation, trainings, and a nonprofit built to last.

Hope For The Journey is a self-pay and pay-what-you-can practice. We offer an alternative to insurance-based practices (where low reimbursement burns clinicians out) and to traditional self-pay practices (mostly accessible to higher incomes). A sliding-scale application assesses financial stress and assigns a lower rate; fundraising and grants offset those rates so our clinicians earn a living wage and keep training.
If you're a therapist, I offer EMDR consultation and trainings. If you'd like to join our community of Cycle Breakers through volunteering or giving, that's how ALL people get to heal.
We're a nonprofit, so cost shouldn't be the reason you wait. Sliding-scale spots with licensed clinicians and supervised residents are part of how we work.
